Biônicos is a film set in the year 2035, where the world is dominated by technology and two sisters, Maria and Gabi, find themselves caught in an intense long-jump rivalry. In a dystopian reality where bionic prosthetics dominate the sports world, the rivalry between the two ends up dragging their own family into a dark and sinister place. Maria dreams of competing against her sister, but to reach that goal she is forced into a world full of crime and violence.
For the key arts, beyond showing the film's high production value and bringing in the sci-fi elements, we also highlighted the dystopian future unfolding in Brazil — something entirely new, since the genre isn't common on a national scale.
Our positioning perfectly translated the dystopia present in the film, making it easier for the audience to understand it and working as a link between the title treatment and the key arts. A tagline pulled straight from the script that captures the film's story in a simple, creative way.
In the title treatment, we focused on genre codes without losing the craft present in the film and reflected in the typeface. A cyberpunk, high-tech, low-life typography that perfectly translates the dystopia present in the story.
